This is our yearly main fundraiser where each year we donate to a different cause. In 2024 we will be donating once again to the St Brendan Parish Food Bank and we added a 2nd foundation – The PKD Foundation of Canada
We had over 150 players at the tournament and in total we raised 16,000$ for both causes
Our Fundraiser is successful year after year due to the many sponsors who donate to our causes and to the countless hours for preparing the event by our fellow members in the Council 14693.
Next event will take place on April 25, 2025. Stay tuned for more details in the upcoming months.
St. Brendan’s Parish Food Bank – was established to help those in need during difficult times. We help approximately 100+ families on a monthly basis with non-perishable food items to feed themselves and their families. Our help is a much-needed resource for them to continue to thrive in dignity where sometimes they only see bleakness. Our Food Bank goes beyond helping not only with food items, but also occasionally helping people with paying for diapers, or rent, or utilities. Difficult times do not just affect one’s finances for food but sometimes one’s finances with their monthly bills. With this in mind, we need donations from those able to contribute in order to continue this very worthwhile cause.
The PKD Foundation of Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research, education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in Canada. PKD is a genetic disorder characterized by the
growth of cysts in the kidneys, leading to kidney enlargement and often resulting in kidney failure. Through their multifaceted
approach encompassing research, education, advocacy, and support, the PKD Foundation of Canada strives to improve the lives of individuals affected by PKD while working towards a future without this devastating disease.
